The Statutory Register of Members Interests

Pursuant to the Localism Act 2011, all Councillors and Co-Opted Members of the Council have to abide by and uphold the Council's Code of Conduct for Members and Co-Opted Members.

A copy the Code of Conduct for Members and Co-Opted Members can be found in the Council's Constitution (along with other Protocols and related Guidance).

The Council's Monitoring Officer maintains a Statutory Register of Members Interests that have been brought to her attention. Councillors are obliged, by law, to keep their Statutory Register up-to-date and to inform the Monitoring Officer of any changes within 28 days of such changes. A Councillor's failure to keep the Statutory Register up-to-date can be the subject of a complaint to the Council's Governance Committee.

A copy of the up-to-date Statutory Register of Members Interests can be inspected, free of charge, at our office during normal office hours:

Requests to inspect the Statutory Register of Members Interests must be made to the Head of Law and Governance at the above address.
