Parking vouchers

Residents

Temporary vouchers have been introduced to meet residents' needs (such as for family gatherings and social occasions) and supplement the existing resident and visitor permits.

The vouchers are only valid in 'permit holders only' restrictions; they are not valid in a metered parking space, even if it includes an exemption for permit holders.

The scratchcard vouchers are specific to the zone where your property is located.

Each voucher will enable the driver to park for a maximum stay of 3 hours. If you intend to stay longer than 3 hours then you can display a second voucher to commence when the other voucher expires.

Vouchers can only be purchased in sheets of 5 scratchcard vouchers. Details will be scratched off to show the relevant day, month, date and time of arrival.

A resident may apply to the council for resident vouchers on condition that the applicant resides at a dwelling eligible for a parking permit i.e. there is an existing permit parking scheme to the front of the property (If you do not regularly live at the premises you do not qualify for a permit irrespective of your interest in the property).

Vouchers are not required for motorcycles.

We cannot process application forms immediately. Allow 14 days for your application to be processed.

Please note that failure to provide the necessary documentation or sign the application form to confirm your acceptance of the terms and conditions will delay the processing of your application and the issue of your permit.
