Household waste recycling centre/tip
Before taking materials to the Household Waste Recycling Centre/tip, have you thought about donating unwanted items to a local charity shop or an online reuse network?

Using the centre
The centre is a reuse, recycling and waste disposal facility for North Tyneside residents only.
Please bring a utility bill or other documents that prove you live in North Tyneside. We have containers to let you separate materials yourself and our staff are on hand to advise on the correct one to use.
It's illegal for businesses to dispose of waste at this site. Please see guidelines for business waste.

If you're getting rid of computer equipment, protect your personal details and destroy the hard drive before disposal. You should:
- take the computer apart
- remove the hard drive
- smash it with a hammer or drill holes in it
We're open every day except Christmas Day. We accept waste / materials between 8am and 8pm.
