VARIOUS ROADS, NORTH TYNESIDE

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Orders, prohibit all through traffic on the following as and when signage indicate:

North Shields

Lawson Street from the junction of Thrift Street to the junction of Lannerwood Lane with partial access obtained from Coach Lane and from a western approach onto Lawson Street.

The temporary Order is required to allow the use of a crane on the highway and will come into force on 26 September 2017 for a period not exceeding six weeks.

The closures will be in place periodically as detailed –

26 September - 27 September
3 October -  4 October
10 October - 11 October
17 October - 18 October
24 October - 25 October
31 October - 1 November

Wallsend

Neptune Road Lane at rear of No 29 Philliphaugh.

No alternative routes possible but access will be maintained, and advance warning signs displaying dates of closure will be on site before commencement of works.

The temporary Order is required to repair and reinstate the sewer and will come into force on 2 October 2017 for a period not exceeding 2 weeks.

Whitley Bay

Whitley Road, outside Azure/Greggs for approximately 50m, with an alternative route via North Parade, York Road, and Park Avenue, and vice versa.

The temporary Order is required to enable major telecommunication works to be undertaken and will come into force on 8 October 2017 for a period not exceeding 1 day.

Hazelrigg

Elm Villas, from No.3 South View to the rear of No.2 Pader Close. Access will be maintained.

The temporary Order is required to enable major connection works to be undertaken and will come into force on 9 October 2017 for a period not exceeding two weeks.

Forest Hall

The rear of No 10 Edwins Avenue and The Ritz with an alternative route provided via onsite signage in advance of works commencing.

The temporary Order is required to enable major disconnection works to be undertaken and will come into force on 23 October 2017 for a period not exceeding one week.

Killingworth

Station Road from 20 metres either side of Level Crossing, with an alternative route via B1505 Killingworth Drive, Station Road, Northumbrian Way, Southgate, B1505 Great Lime Road, Killingworth Drive and vice versa.

The temporary Order is required to enable essential works to the level crossing and will come into force on 29 October 2017 at 22:00 until 30 October a 2017 at 07:00 (night-time closure only).
