Before starting your application
To complete the online form you will need to provide us with the following information. You may wish to have this ready before completing your form:
- Payment Reference Number (included in your letter)
- Hackney carriage / private hire driver licence number (displayed on your paper licence)
- National Insurance number
- Date of birth
- Bank account details
Who can claim a support payment?
We will have already contacted you to tell you that you are eligible to apply for this grant. To be eligible you must hold a hackney carriage or private hire driver licence issued by North Tyneside Council that was valid on 2 March 2021.
Licence holders that are not eligible
This grant is restricted to holders of a hackney carriage or private hire driver’s licence.
The grant is not payable to holders of a hackney carriage or private hire vehicle licence, nor the holder of a private hire operator licence.
You will not be eligible for this grant if your hackney carriage or private hire driver’s licence has been revoked.
Data Processing and Managing the risk of fraud
Neither the Government nor North Tyneside Council will accept deliberate manipulation and fraud. Any individual caught falsifying their records to gain grant money will face prosecution and any funding issued will be subject to claw back, as may any grants paid in error. It is important that applicants ensure that they provide accurate bank account details for grant payments and that these relate to the individual concerned.
This Authority is under a duty to protect the public funds it administers, and to this end may use the information you have provided on this form for the prevention and detection of fraud. It may also share this information with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds for these purposes.
