Extension of Temporary Restriction of Right of Way, Holystone
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has received a direction from the Secretary of State for Transport under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the direction is that the North Tyneside Council (Section of Public Footpath, Holystone 1) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) Order 2016 will continue to be in force until 6 December 2018 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
The Order prohibits all through traffic, as and when relevant signs are displayed, on a section of public footpath (Holystone 1) from point A on the map shown below and running in a north westerly direction for approximately 430 metres to its junction with the A191 Holystone Way at point B. An alternative route is available, shown as a dotted line on the plan below, via the public rights of way intersecting Carlisle Close, Carlisle Way and Bede Close and the public right of way to the south of Holystone 1 which passes Scaffold Hill Farm. The Order is required because construction works are being executed near the path.
