Updated contact information COVID-19
We are working to deliver planning services during the COVID-19 outbreak. Although some restrictions are being lifted, in line with Government advice, staff continue to work remotely and are not attending face to face meetings unless absolutely essential. This means that our planning reception service remains suspended and you are currently requested not to visit our offices at Quadrant. You contact us by email using email@example.com or leave a message on our general phone line (0191) 643 2310. If your call relates to an application, you contact the case officer directly by phone or email. The general phone line is checked daily for messages and we aim to return calls during the usual service times as set out below:
Monday and Thursday from 1pm until 5pm
Tuesday and Wednesday from 8.30am until 1pm
Friday from 1pm until 4.30pm
If you wish to report a breach of planning control, you can contact the enforcement team via firstname.lastname@example.org or (0191) 643 2150.
Please be assured we are doing everything possible to maintain a ‘normal’ service but there may be some delays for which we apologise.
You can help us maintain services by using the online services to submit, view and comment on planning applications and contact us by e-mail rather than using the post.
Arrangements have already been made to ensure that decisions can still be made on planning applications should the Planning Committee not be able to meet. The meeting scheduled for 14 April 2020 has been cancelled and the speaking rights scheme suspended. Information about future meetings will be published online. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation at this time.
