A1056 Killingworth Way Improvement Scheme

In 2019/2020, improvements were carried out on the A1056 Killingworth Way to provide access to Avant Homes' new housing development, Cygnet Park.

The works - which formed part of an agreement between North Tyneside Council and the developer - were delivered by the council’s partner Capita.

This included widening the road westbound, creating an access road for the development and constructing new pedestrian crossings.

The project was completed in early 2020.

During the project, the Major Projects team issued regular updates using its e-bulletin service. This provided subscribers with progress updates, photos and other key information (the final issue can be accessed below).
