Introduction
North Tyneside Council secured funds from the Environment Agency to carry out essential maintenance works on Sea Banks Seawall at the northern end of King Edward’s Bay in Tynemouth. The area of the works is highlighted in blue on the image below and were completed July 2023.
Project Overview
The scheme involved reinforcing the seawall in several locations. This will help protect the main coastal vehicular route and lower promenade from future storm damage.
