Introduction
The Government has allocated the authority with a Household Support fund worth £2,837,573.76 to help the households and residents who need it the most in North Tyneside up until 31 March 2026.
We are currently working on the priorities for the fund, to make sure we make the best use of this and get the right support to the right people when they need it most, and we will update this page once all the priorities for spending this grant have been agreed.
There is just one priority that has been agreed initially and this is:
- Those entitled to income related Free School Meals will receive £15 supermarket vouchers for each week of the school holidays per child.
If you are in crisis and have no food or utilities, please contact our Welfare Team on (0191) 643 2777 and select option 2.
