Sting – From Northern Skies to Fields of Gold talk by Professor Paul Carr

About

Launching a new book about Wallsend’s favourite son, Professor Paul Carr talks about what makes Sting tick musically and provides detail about his sound and the musician he has become.  The book looks at Sting’s distinct Geordie identity, and of course mentions his upbringing in Wallsend. Blaydon born Paul Carr is Professor of Popular Music Analysis at the University of South Wales. He has worked as a professional musician with the James Taylor Quartet and former Miles Davis sideman Bob Berg. There will be the opportunity to buy signed books.
