Spring has definitely sprung in North Tyneside as the council launches its spring and summer schedule – starting with a jam-packed programme of events in April.
There are weekly events taking place throughout the summer from buggy boot camps and baby sensory to bike rides and yoga.
Parks, libraries and Customer First Centres across the borough will also be holding a huge variety of events.
There’s plenty of entertainment for children with activities such as den building, mini-beast hunts, arts and crafts and junior archery. Bike riding, walks and kite flying are also on the agenda for families looking for a fun-filled April.
For residents looking for a slightly more relaxed pace of life there are bee walks, Nordic walking, dawn chorus walks and gardening classes as well library events throughout the month.
As part of the ‘meet the author’ series of events North Tyneside will be welcoming Vin Arthey, David Mark, Mari Hannah, Mary Paulson-Ellis, Mark Billingham, Martyn Waites and Stephen Aryan to the region to talk about their books.
Full event guides to activities in parks, libraries and community centres during spring and summer are available now at customer first centres, parks, libraries and leisure centres across the borough.
