North Tyneside residents are being given the opportunity to meet two prolific authors as part of this year’s Read Regional campaign.
As part of the annual Read Regional campaign, which celebrates ten exciting new books from the North of England, Chris Killen and Hazel Osmond will be at Whitley Bay Customer First Centre on Tuesday 17 May at 7pm to talk about their latest novels.
Chris Killen is the author of the novels In Real Life (2015) and The Bird Room (2009). Hilarious and heart-breaking, In Real Life paints a searingly honest portrait of a generation and captures a world where human connection is easier than ever before but where relationships remain just as tricky.
Hazel Osmond is the author of The Mysterious Miss Mayhew, a heart-warming romantic comedy set in Northumberland about a most unlikely love affair.
Now in its seventh year, Read Regional is run by New Writing North that partners with libraries and publishers to give readers the chance to meet authors in their local libraries. As well as the author events, all of the Read Regional titles are stocked in 22 library authorities across the region, creating a wealth of fantastic books available to borrow.
Tickets for the event can be bought in advance at any North Tyneside Library and cost £3.
