The annual Wallsend Festival returns to the town this weekend, offering two days of family-filled fun.
Saturday (July 2) will see live music in the town centre and inside the Forum Shopping Centre, along with a range of stalls, fairground rides and a vintage car display.
Appealing to people of all ages, Wallsend Customer First Centre will host activities including face painting, choir performances and a display from Wallsend Local History Society.
On Sunday (July 3), the action moves to the park and green areas with the 3SIXTY bicycle stunt team, circus entertainers and lots of interactive things to do. There is also a climbing wall, archery sessions and a funfair.
Cllr Eddie Darke, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Tourism said: “This is always an extremely popular event that people from across the borough and beyond look forward to. I know the weekend will provide lots of things to see and do for everyone.”
Wallsend Festival is organised by North Tyneside Council with support from a range of community organisations. For the full programme go to www.visitnorthtyneside.com.
