International bestselling Australian author Kate Morton will be speaking about her books as part of the Big North Book Run; a three-day festival being held in North East libraries in partnership with publisher Pan Macmillan.
Kate has sold over 10 million copies of her novels in 33 languages, across 38 countries.
The award-winning author has written five novels: The House at Riverton , The Forgotten Garden, The Distant Hours, The Secret Keeper, and The Lake House, which was published in October 2015.
Every one of her novels has been a No. 1 bestseller around the world and won the Australian Book Industry award for General Fiction Book of the Year.
Her most recent novel, The Lake House, is set in Cornwall between 1933 and 2003. At the heart of the story is an abandoned house, a missing child, and an unsolved mystery that has an astonishing conclusion.
Kate will appear at North Shields Library (Customer First Centre), on Thursday 4 May, from 7pm, and will also answer questions from the audience.
