Have your say on vital housing services

Press release: An abstract view of the Council crest

North Tyneside Council is looking for tenants to get involved in shaping vital housing services.

The annual tenants’ event, which is being held on July 27 between 10am and 12pm, invites residents of council-owned houses to give their views on some of the council’s vital housing services.

From 1 April 2019, construction, housing repairs and maintenance services – currently delivered by Kier North Tyneside – will return to the direct management of the council, with the focus on delivering the best possible service to tenants.

Tenants will be invited to discuss the transition, as well as topics such as the HRA budget and how it affects the council, the welfare reform update, and an update from the council’s community protection team on the work it carries out in local areas.

All tenants are welcome to join the engagement groups and have their say on housing services.

The event will be held at the council’s Quadrant HQ on Cobalt Business Park. For more information, or to apply to join the tenants’ group, call (0191) 643 2828 or email engagement@northtyneside.gov.uk.
