Sub-contractors and suppliers from the construction industry can find out about opportunities to work with North Tyneside Council at a number of special events.
From 1 April 2019, construction, housing repairs and maintenance services – currently delivered by Kier North Tyneside – will return to the direct management of the council.
Following a positive response to the supplier engagement events held in July, the authority is now inviting local sub-contractors and suppliers involved in construction to a second round of events.
Feedback from those who attended the previous events has been taken on board and this time round there will information about how to submit tenders as well as other relevant opportunities, including an overview of the timeline for issuing tenders.
Representatives from the North East Purchasing Organisation (NEPO), North Tyneside Council and Engie will be speaking at the events.
Voluntary organisations based in North Tyneside will also be on hand to speak to about potential social value opportunities.
The sessions will be held at The Parks Leisure Centre in North Shields, where ample free parking is available, on the following dates:
