Over 500 vintage cars from across the region will be gathering down at the coast in Whitley Bay later this month (Sunday 15 September).
Now in its sixth year, the Whitley Bay Classic Car Show will take place along the Links and will feature mid-1930s classics to more recent models.
Cars from around the world will be on show for visitors and many local classic car clubs will be gathering, including NECPWA, MG Northumbria, TVR Club and Jaguar Enthusiasts.
Councillor Sarah Day, Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport and Leisure said: “We’re really excited for this year’s show. It’s shaping up to be a great day with a fantastic collection of cars on display, as well as entertainment for families.”
The event starts at 10am through until 3pm, and owners will all be on hand to chat about the history of their cars to visitors and fellow enthusiasts.
There will also be live jazz music, small fairground rides for children and a range of street food and refreshments available.
The free event is organised by North Tyneside Council and is supported by Briar Dene Pub and Eatery.
Exhibitors can register their vehicles at www.eventbrite.co.uk by searching for Whitley Bay Classic Car Show 2019.
