Free employability day in North Tyneside

From interview techniques and CV support to confidence building and information on jobs, a unique employability day in North Tyneside will offer a variety of opportunities for residents.

NT Works 2020 takes place on March 19 and offers a number of free workshops and sessions across North Tyneside for local residents seeking employment support and ways to improve their wellbeing and skills.

The day will provide the opportunity for people to take part in activities which not only help to move them closer to the job market, but also build their skills and confidence.

Customer first centres across North Tyneside will hold events throughout the day, including CV gaps workshops, mock interviews and volunteering opportunities. Some events require booking in advance and there are also a number where you can drop in anytime.

Employers such as McDonalds, the Royal Navy, Aspers Casino, Unisus Care, North East Furniture Resource Centre, The Army and The CTRL Pad will be on hand to discuss their exciting opportunities. Whether you are interested in hospitality, care, retail, gaming, driving, furniture assembly or armed forces careers, there’s something for everyone.

The full programme of events can be found online at www.skillsnorthtyneside.org.uk under the ‘news and events’ section.

For more information, or any employment support outside of this event, you can contact the team on employability.skills@northtyneside.gov.uk or call (0191) 643 2288.
