Can you step up to care?

Could you help to brighten up the lives of our most vulnerable residents this winter?

Due to high demand for our services, our brilliant social care teams have flexible opportunities available for temporary care workers - ranging from full-time roles to just a few hours a week.

You will be joining a passionate bunch, who provide a lifeline service that helps our residents to live their best life possible in their own homes.

No experience is necessary, although if you have some that’s great – we are just looking for people with a caring nature and can-do attitude.

You will work alongside an experienced care worker and full training will be provided by the Social Care Academy, which specialises in providing high-quality care and support training.

Everyone’s needs are unique, so no day is ever the same and you will be involved in a wide range of tasks such as helping with personal care, meal preparation and household jobs.

You will also have an important role to play in encouraging independence, building confidence, and providing emotional support and companionship to residents and their families all of which can be hugely rewarding.

Shifts are available across days, evenings and weekends enabling you to find a work/life balance that suits your needs and can fit around your other commitments.

The roles will be based within the Council team or potentially with one of our commissioned providers.

The salary is £10.03 per hour and you will receive paid travel time and a mileage allowance. Full PPE will be provided.
