Work on the first phase of the Seafront Sustainable Travel Route is nearing completion.
Road resurfacing will start on Wednesday May, 15.
The first section of road to be resurfaced will be from East Street to Percy Gardens entrance gate. This section will take approximately three days, the team will be working from 8am until 6pm.
Please be aware the duration of work is dependent on factors outside our control such as the weather, and underlying ground conditions being of a suitable standard.
East Street will be closed at all times during the works and access to Middle Street, Percy Street and Lovaine Row will be via Hotspur Street only.
There will be a signposted diversion for northbound road users via Front Street and Percy Park Road, and vice versa for southbound road users.
