North Tyneside Council and its partners are launching a week of action to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB), support victims, and celebrate the efforts of local heroes working to make neighbourhoods safer.
From Monday 18 November to Friday 22 November, the Council and its partners, including Northumbria Police, will host a series of events, pop-ups, and patrols as part of ASB Awareness Week under the theme #MakingCommunitiesSafer.
Each day will spotlight a key aspect of the fight against ASB, from engaging with affected businesses to creating opportunities for young people.
Residents are invited to get involved by attending events, sharing concerns, and learning more about the positive work being done in their area.
Daily themes and activities
Monday 18 November – Partnership Day
A pop-up event will take place at the Beacon Shopping Centre from 1–3pm, inviting residents to meet teams from Neighbourhood Housing, Neighbourhood Policing, and Security Operations. Attendees can raise concerns and learn more about the work being done to tackle ASB in their communities.
The day will also feature a walkabout in the town centre to engage with local businesses and Morgan House, a location experiencing ongoing ASB.
