North Tyneside Council has created a series of short films showing the major highways improvement projects in the borough from above using stunning aerial footage.

The films explain the work which has either been completed, is underway, or is planned to take place at Sandy Lane, Coast Road, Holystone, Four Lane Ends, Whitley Road and Front Street and North Bank of the Tyne, as well as the flood alleviation scheme being carried out in Monkseaton.
The aim is to reduce congestion, speed up journey times on public transport, make our roads safer, improve facilities for cyclists and pedestrians and support local industry and growth.
