A free week-long family film festival will be taking place this summer in North Tyneside’s parks.
Blockbuster films will be shown outdoors on a 21sqm screen in seven parks between 26 August and 1 September at 10am and 1pm.
Highlights include Mary Poppins Returns, at Rising Sun Country Park; and The Greatest Showman, at Northumberland Park.
All events are free to attend and families are being encouraged to bring a picnic and blanket and join in the fun.
North Tyneside’s Elected Mayor Norma Redfearn CBE said: “Our summer festival has a range of activities right across the borough and this will be one of the highlights.
“Showing these films in our parks will showcase just how beautiful our outdoor spaces are and I hope that everyone, residents and visitors alike, will come together and enjoy them.”
Films will be shown at Richardson Dees in Wallsend, Benton Quarry Park, Springfield Park in Forest Hall, Killingworth Lakeside, Rising Sun Country Park, Northumberland Park and Lockey Park in Wideopen.
Other films being shown across the week include Peter Rabbit, Moana, The Incredibles 2, Lego Movie 2, Lego Batman Movie and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse.
