Rainbow Childcare in Whitley Bay is celebrating another ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating following a recent inspection in April.
The nursery, catering for children from birth to school age, was rated outstanding in four areas: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.
The glowing report describes how staff “provide excellent support for children’s growing independence”, and foster learners who are “focused, enthusiastic and motivated to learn”.
Inspectors commended the nursery’s very detailed and comprehensive curriculum, creative and innovative activities, and ability to provide exiting opportunities learn about life outside the setting.
They, too, commented on the very good support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Owner of Rainbow Childcare, Laura McCutcheon, said: “We are very proud of our amazing staff team at Rainbow Childcare.
“They are inspirational and dedicated to the children in our care.”
Councillor Peter Earley, Cabinet Member responsible for supporting and protecting children and Young People’s Champion at North Tyneside Council said: “We have a very successful childcare sector here in North Tyneside and it’s fantastic to see a local provision be recognised for their commitment to education and care.
“To see Ofsted offer such high praise to Rainbow Childcare is amazing. The outcome of the inspection is a testament to the quality of service they provide and I’d like to congratulate everyone involved on their success.”
