North Tyneside Council is reaching out to its residents to take part in the Big Community Conversation.
The Big Community Conversation offers residents the chance to share their views about how informed they feel by the Council and is designed to help gain a deeper understanding of the types of things North Tyneside residents want to be kept up to date with.
Residents can share their views by completing an online survey, attending a face-to-face event, or picking up a paper copy from a Community Hub.
The views from the survey responses will help the Council understand what information its residents need and assist in the creation of an action plan to better keep them informed about the things that they value.
North Tyneside Council’s Engagement Team will be out in the community this summer, visiting every ward throughout July and August to speak directly with residents and listen to their thoughts. The survey will be available online, promoted via the Council’s social media channels and printed copies can be found in Community Hubs across North Tyneside.
Please email engagement@northtyneside.gov.uk or call 0191 643 2828 to find out when and where the team will be each month.
Elected Mayor of North Tyneside, Dame Norma Redfearn DBE said: “North Tyneside Council is proud to be a Council that listens to and cares about the views of our residents. They are at the centre of our decision making process and the services we provide across the whole borough.
‘The voices of our residents, businesses and communities are at the heart of everything we do and their views are a vitally important part of how we plan for the future.
“The Big Community Conversation is an excellent opportunity for people in the area to voice their opinions and let us know how we can better provide for them.
“I strongly encourage residents to get involved; the more feedback we receive, the better we can understand residents’ needs and continue supporting them”.
The Council want to hear from as many people as possible to accurately understand the needs of its residents. To have your say, complete the online survey here or contact the North Tyneside Council Engagement Team: at engagement@northtyneside.gov.uk, or 0191 643 2828, for more information.
