A191 FRONT STREET, BENTON - Experimental Traffic Regulation Order 2023

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made the Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (A191 Front Street, Benton) (Experimental) Traffic Regulation Order 2022 under Sections 1, 2, 9 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to introduce a no waiting restriction operational between 7.00am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday on A191 Front Street, Benton,     

South side, from a point 109 metres east of its junction with Coach Lane to a point 150 metres east of that junction.
South side, from a point 150 metres east of its junction with Coach Lane to a point 163 metres east of that junction and from a point 20m west of its junction with Manorfields to a point 49m west of that junction. 

The Order will come into force on 28 August 2023 for a period not exceeding 18 months when the Council will decide whether to make an order to continue indefinitely the provisions of the experimental order. Any person may submit an objection to the making of such an order at that time.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained within it, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred on the Council by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, you may within six weeks from 3 August 2023 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
