Northumberland Square , North Shields - Temporary Restriction Order 2023

Notice is hereby given by the Council of the Borough of North Tyneside that it intends to make an Order under Section 16(A)&(B) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The reason for making the Order is to prohibit vehicles with the exception of emergency vehicles from using the following:

To enable North Shields Christmas Market to take place

Northumberland Place/Northumberland Square from its junction with Church Way to its junction with Upper Norfolk Street commencing on 7 December 2023 at 6am until 11 December 2023 at 5pm.

Howard Street at its junction with Upper Norfolk Street and Saville Street from Wednesday 6 December to 11 December 2023.

Northumberland Square, Upper Camden Street will be closed to vehicles on 9 and 10 December 2023.

Alternative route is via Church Way, Albion Road, Upper Norfolk Street, Norfolk Street and vice versa.
