TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:

 

Backworth

On Church Roads Level Crossing. 

An alternate route is available via Church Road, Station Road, Rotary Road, Earsdon Road, Garden Terrace, Front Street, Earsdon To Backworth Link Road.

The proposed temporary Order is required for the tarmac replacement of the level crossing and will come into force on 28 February 2024 at 19:00 lasting until the 29 February at 07:00.

Benton

On Manor Walk from the junction with Benton Road to adjacent number 2 Manor Walk.

An alternate route is available via Benton Road, Manor Gardens, Manor Drive.

The proposed temporary Order is required to install 20m of trench within the carriageway and the Order will come into force on 26 February 2024 lasting until 3 March 2024.

Killingworth

On the roundabout that joins Killingworth Way to Station Road.

An alternate route is available via Killingworth Way, Sandy Lane, Benton Lane Roundabout To A1056 Roundabout, Benton Lane, Great Lime Road, Park Terrace, Moorside, Killingworth Drive, Station Road. There will also be on site signage to show diverson routes.

The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing and will come into force on 26 February 2024 lasting until 15 March 2024. Works to be completed from 18:00 - 20:00.

Wallsend

On the footpath at Leicester Close outside of numbers 26-37.

An alternate route will be shown by on site signage.

The proposed temporary Order is required to carry out remedial works within the footpath and will come into force on 26th February 2024 lasting until the 1st March 2024.
