TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:
Forest Hall
On Mead Avenue from the junction with Mead Way to outside number 3 Mead Avenue.
An alternate route is available via Mead Way, Crescent Way South, Crescent Way North, Forest Hall Road, East Forest Hall Road, Park Drive, Mead Avenue.
The proposed temporary Order is required to carry out sewer repairs due to a defective pipe.
The Order will come into force on 11 March 2024 for a period not exceeding 5 days.

Killingworth
On Station Road, Killingworth's level crossing.
An alternate route is available via Station Road, Northumbrian Way, Southgate, Great Lime Road, Park Terrace, Moorside, Killingworth Drive.
The proposed temporary Order is required for annual level crossing tests.
The Order will come into force on 2 March 2024 for a period not exceeding 2 days. Working hours will be from 22:00 - 08:30.

North Shields
On Chiltern Road from the junction with Purbeck Close to the junction with Mendip Close.
An alternate route is available via Chiltern Road, Cotswold Road, Rake Lane, Preston North Road, Malvern Road.
The proposed temporary Order is required for resurfacing of the carriageway.
The Order will come into force on 11 March 2024 lasting until the 22 March 2024.

An alternate route is available via Verne Road, Norham Road, Harnham Avenue, Stannington Road.
The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing.
The Order will come into force on 11 March 2024 lasting until the 22 March 2024.

On Lansdowne Terrace Lane from the junction with Hawkeys Lane to behind number 13 Lansdowne Terrace.
An alternate route is available via Hawkeys Lane, Lansdowne Terrace, Windermere Terrace.
The proposed temporary Order is required to locate and clear blockages on existing duct.
The Order will come into force on 15 March 2024 for a period not exceeding 6 days.

On Lindisfarne Terrace Lane from the junction with Lindisfarne Terrace to behind number 45 Lindisfarne Terrace.
An alternate route is available via Lindisfarne Terrace, Trevor Terrace, Lindisfarne Terrace Lane At Side And Rear Of 1-45. With access being given where possible to residents.
The proposed temporary Order is required to excavate and renew a water service.
The Order will come into force on 11 March 2024 for a period not exceeding 6 days.

On Trevor Terrace Lane from the junction with Trevor Terrace to a point approx 4m south of this junction.

The proposed temporary Order is required to install poly duct within the carriageway.
The Order will come into force on 18 March 2024 for a period not exceeding 6 days.

On Birtley Avenue Lane At Rear Of 6-17 from behind number 16/17 to number 10/11.
An alternate route is available via Shipley Road, Mariners Lane, Denwick Terrace, Brislee Avenue and in reverse order.
The proposed temporary Order is required to renew a service due to lead content.
The Order will come into force on 4 March 2024 for a period not exceeding 6 days.

The Order will come into force on 4 March 2024 lasting until the 22 March 2024.

On Northumberland Dock Road.
The proposed temporary Order is required for the:
•Removal of existing security fence around Howdon Sewage Works to facilitate construction of new tie in road with Northumberland Dock Road.
•Creation of an access barrier at Point B to prevent public access to the Sewage Works and site during the works.
•Addition of junction between East Howdon Sewage Works Internal Layout South and Northumberland Dock Road within the road closure area.
•Earthworks within East Howdon Sewage Works.
Alternative access to the Howdon Sewage Works available through East Howdon Sewage Works Internal Layout North/South.
The Order will come into force on 1 March 2024 lasting until the 1 July 2025.
