(Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2022 and (On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022

Variation Orders 2024

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it proposes to make variation orders under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the orders, if made, will be to vary the following orders as detailed below:

 

the North Tyneside (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2022, so that:

 

no waiting at any time restrictions be introduced on sections of the following roads:

Holyfields, West Allotment on Both sides, from its junction with Benton Road to a point 14 metres north of that junction.
Benton Road, West Allotment on its:

North side, from a point 20 metres east of its junction with Holyfields to a point 14 metres west of that junction.
South side, from its junction with the unnamed lane to the rear of Turner Street to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Turner Street.

Turner Street, West Allotment on its:

East side, from its junction with Benton Road to a point 10 metres south of that junction.
West side, From its junction with Benton Road to its junction with the unnamed lane between Benton Road and Eccles Terrace.

Unnamed lane between Benton Road and Eccles Terrace, West Allotment on its North side, from its junction with Turner Street to a point 7 metres west of that junction.
Eastfield Road, Longbenton on its

West side, from its junction with Front Street to a point 10 metres north of its junction with Williams Park.
East side, from its junction with Front Street to a point 12 metres north of that junction.

Front Street, Benton on its North side, from its junction with Whitley Road to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Parkland.
Williams Park, Longbenton on its:

South and west sides, from its junction with Eastfield Road in a westerly then northerly direction for a distance of 40 metres..
North and east sides, from its junction with Eastfield Road in a westerly then northerly direction for a distance of 52 metres.

 

no waiting at any time restrictions be revoked on:

Eastfield Road, Longbenton on both sides, between its junction with Front Street and a point 12 metres north of its junction with Front Street - ref 210 (i).
Front St, Benton on its North side, from its junction with Parkland to a point 28 metres west of that junction – ref 238 (vii)

 

the North Tyneside (On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 so that:

 

Parking places without charges, limited to a maximum duration of stay of 2 hours with no return within 4 hours (with an exemption for BEN1 permit holders), operational between 12.00pm and 12:00am all days be introduced on:

Front Street, Benton – north side, from a point 8 metres west of its junction with Back Cheviot View Access Road to a point 36 metres west of that junction.
Front Street, Benton – north side, from a point 4 metres east of its junction with Back Cheviot View Access Road to a point 20 metres east of that junction.

 

Permit Holder Parking Places – Marked Bays, operational between 12.00pm to 2.00pm and 5:00pm to 10:00pm on all days, be introduced on Front Street, Benton on its north side, from a point 20 metres east of its junction with Back Cheviot View Access Road to a point 37 metres east of that junction.

 

Permit Holder Parking Places – Zones, operational between 12:00pm to 2:00pm and 5:00pm to 10:00pm all days, with exemptions for permit holders, be introduced on:

Southfield Road, Benton in its entirety.
Carolyn Close, Benton in its entirety.
Eastfield Road, Benton – from a point 12 metres north of its junction with Front Street to a point 12 metres east of its junction with Southfield Road.

 

4.  Properties in Zone BEN1 to be added to a list of properties eligible for the issue of permits and vouchers:

Carolyn Close – 1 to 8 (consecutive)
Southfield – 1 to 31 (consecutive)
Cheviot View – 1 to 9 (consecutive)
Eastfield Road – 37 to 41 (odd only), 43 to 49 (consecutive) and 50 to 58 (even only)
Front Street – Ship Inn + Poplar Cottage East + Poplar Cottage West + The Terrace – 1 to 5 (consecutive)
