TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order prohibits all through traffic on both the westbound and eastbound inside lane on the Coast Road. This will be in effect from the junction with Churchill Street to the junction with Benfield Road.

A speed reduction of 30mph will be in effect to accompany the lane closures.

The temporary Order is required for the replacement of VRS barrier in central reservation and will come into force on 3 May 2024 lasting until the 28 June

2024.
