Variation Orders 2024
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it proposes to make variation orders under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the orders, if made, will be to vary the following orders as detailed below:
the North Tyneside (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2022, so that:
no waiting at any time restrictions be introduced on the following lengths of road:
Archer Street, Wallsend
North side, from a point 20 metres west of its junction with Shafto Street, to a point 8 metres east of that junction.
South side, from a point 20 metres west of its junction with Shafto Street, to a point 11 metres east of that junction.
Belford Terrace, North Shields
Both sides, from its junction with Lindisfarne Terrace, to a point 6 metres east of that junction.
Bewicke Road, Wallsend
North side, from a point 18 metres west of its junction with Clavering Street, to a point 11 metres east of that junction.
The Broadway (Marden Quarry Access Road), Whitley Bay
East side, from a point 45 metres north of its junction with Broadway Close, to a point 64 metres north of that junction.
Burdon Street, North Shields
East side, from its junction with St Johns Terrace to a point 11 metres south of its junction with Cockburn Terrace.
Cauldwell Lane, Monkseaton
North west side, from its junction with Pykerley Road, to a point 18 metres south west of that junction.
Rear Cauldwell Lane (north), Monkseaton
North west side, from its junction with Pykerley Road, to a point 15 metres south west of that junction.
South east side, from its junction with Pykerley Road, to a point 26 metres south west of that junction.
Clavering Street, Wallsend
West side, from its junction with Bewicke Road, to a point 28 metres north of that junction.
East side, from its junction with Bewicke Road, to a point 13 metres north of that junction.
Drumoyne Gardens, Monkseaton
South west side, from a point 20 metres north west of its junction with Briar Vale to a point 57 metres north west of that junction.
Elmfield Gardens, Whitley Bay
North east side, from its junction with Townsville Avenue, to a point 8 metres north west of that junction.
South west side, from its junction with Townsville Avenue, to a point 14 metres north west of that junction.
Elmwood Road, Monkseaton
Both sides, from its junction with Pykerley Road to a point 7 metres south west of that junction.
Gosforth Park Way, Longbenton
Both sides, from a point 44 metres south of its northern junction with A189 Salters Lane, to a point 114 metres south of that junction.
Lindisfarne Terrace, North Shields
East side, from its junction with Trevor Terrace, to a point 8 metres north of that junction.
West side, from its junction with Trevor Terrace, to a point 6 metres north of that junction.
East side, from a point 4 metres north of its junction with Belford Terrace to a point 4 metres south of that junction.
Nelson Terrace, North Shields
East side, from its junction with Saint Johns Terrace, to a point 14 metres south of that junction.
Newlands Avenue, Monkseaton
Both sides, from its junction with Drumoyne Gardens to a point 10 metres north east of that junction.
Pykerley Road, Monkseaton
South west side, from its junction with Front Street to a point 8 metres north west of its junction with Elmwood Road.
North east side, from its junction with Front Street to a point 21 metres north west of that junction.
Renaissance Point, North Shields
North west and north east sides, from its junction with Hudson Street in a south westerly direction for a distance of 37 metres then a north westerly direction for a distance of 8 metres.
South east side, from its junction with Hudson Street, to a point 10 metres south west of that junction.
Saint Johns Terrace, North Shields
Both sides, from its junction with Nelson Terrace/Burdon Street, to a point 28 metres east of that junction.
Shafto Street, Wallsend
West side, from a point 10 metres north of its junction with Archer Street, to a point 15 metres south of that junction.
East side, from a point 10 metres north of its junction with Archer Street, to a point 10 metres south of that junction.
St Oswald’s Road, Wallsend
South side, from a point 13 metres west of its junction with Suffolk Gardens, to a point 10 metres east of that junction.
Suffolk Gardens, Wallsend
West side, from its junction with St Oswald’s Road, to a point 13 metres south of that junction.
East side, from its junction with St Oswald’s Road, to a point 14 metres south of that junction.
Townsville Avenue, Whitley Bay
North west side, from a point 14 metres south west of its junction with Elmfield Gardens, to a point 10 metres north east of that junction.
Un-named road forming access to Greggs factory, Longbenton
Both sides, from its junction with Gosforth Park Way, to a point 10 metres east of that junction.
no waiting at any time restrictions on the following roads be amended so that they apply to the following extents:
Albion Road, North Shields on its South east side from a point 13 metres south west of its junction with Sidney Street to a point 12 metres north east of its junction with Upper Camden Street.
Broadway (Marden Quarry Access Road), Whitley Bay on its north west side from its junction with Marden Road South to a point 109 metres south west of that junction.
Briar Edge, Forest Hall
South west side, from its junction with Station Road North to a point 80 metres north west of that junction.
North east side, from its junction with West View to a point 26 metres north west of that junction.
Drumoyne Gardens, Monkseaton on its north east side, from a point 10 metres north west of its junction with Athol Gardens to a point 13 metres south east of its junction with Newlands Avenue.
no waiting at any time restrictions on the following lengths of road be revoked:
Broadway, Whitley Bay West side between a point 10 metres south of its junction with Marden Quarry Access Road and that junction.
b)Pykerley Road, Monkseaton on Both sides, between a point 21 metres north west of its junction with Front Street and its junction with Front Street.
Renaissance Point, North Shields on Both sides, between its junction with Hudson Street and point 10 metres north west of its junction with Hudson Street.
No Loading or Unloading at any time restrictions be introduced on the following lengths of road:
Cauldwell Lane, Monkseaton on its North west side, from its junction with Pykerley Road, to a point 18 metres south west of that junction.
Rear Cauldwell Lane (north), Monkseaton on its South east side, from its junction with Pykerley Road, to a point 26 metres south west of that junction.
c) Front Street, Monkseaton on its North west side, from its junction with Pykerley Road, to point 16 north east of that junction.
d) Pykerley Road, Monkseaton on its:
South west side, from its junction with Cauldwell Lane to its junction with Rear Cauldwell Lane (north).
North east side, from its junction with Front Street to a point 21 metres north west of that junction.
the North Tyneside (On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 so that:
Limited Waiting without Parking Charges – Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm – 2 hours no return within 4 hours - be introduced on the following:
Broadway (Marden Quarry Access Road), Whitley Bay on its East side, from a point 17 metres south west of its junction with A193 Broadway, to a point 80 metres south of that junction.
Parking Place with a Parking Charge – Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 5.30pm, (with an exemption for valid permit holders) be amended so that they apply to the following extents:
Albion Road, North Shields – south east side, from a point 12 metres north east of its junction with Upper Camden Street to a point 60 metres north east of that junction.
