TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:

 

Holystone

on Holystone Drive. 

An alternate route is available via Devonshire Drive, St Cuthberts Road, Whitley Road.

The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing.

The Order will come into force on 28 November 2024 for a period not exceeding 4 days. Works to be completed from 18:00 - 24:00. 

 

Longbenton

on Benton Lane from the junction with Balliol Industrial Estate to the junction with Goathland Avenue. 

An alternate route is available via Benton Lane, Salters Lane, West Farm Avenue. This will be shown by onsite signage. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing and

will come into force on 11 November 2024 for a period not exceeding 12 days. 

 

on Benton Lane from the junction with Front Street to the junction with Goathland Avenue. 

An alternate route is available via Benton Park Road, Killingworth Road, Salters Lane, West Farm Avenue. On site signage will also be available. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing and

will come into force on 21 November 2024 for a period not exceeding 8 days. 

 

North Shields

on Whitehouse Lane from the junction with Billy Mill Lane to the junction with Alwinton Avenue. 

An alternate route is available via Billy Mill Lane - B1316, Lynn Road, Cragside Avenue, Alwinton Avenue.

The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing and

will come into force on 14 November 2024 for a period not exceeding 5 days. 

 

Wallsend

on Denbigh Avenue from the junction with Coldstream Gardens to the junction with Camberley Road. 

An alternate route is available via Coldstream Gardens, Lisle Grove, Camberley Road, Denbigh Avenue, Ridley Avenue, Monmouth Gardens. Signage will be on site to show this. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for road resurfacing and installation of speed bumps and will come into force on 4 November 2024 for a period not exceeding 4 days. Working hours will be from 09:30 - 03:30 (access to be maintained for school).  

 

on Ridley Avenue from outside numbers 100-170.

An alternate route is available via Ridley Avenue, Tynemouth Road, Denbigh Avenue. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing and will come into force on 14 November 2024 for a period not exceeding 5 days. 

 

Whitley Bay

on The Avenue’s footpaths. 

An alternate route is available via Beach Grove, Park Avenue and Marine Avenue. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for footway improvement works and will come into force on 14 November 2024 lasting until 4 December 2024. 

 

on Eastfield Avenue. Works to be carried out in two halves to allow residential access. 

An alternate route is available via Earsdon Road, Brantwood Avenue, Pykerley Road. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing and

will come into force on 25 November 2024 for a period not exceeding 5 days. Working hours will be from 18:00-24:00
