THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE COAST ROAD (A1058), WALLSEND (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC)

VARIATION ORDER 2024

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of this Order will be to vary the existing order dated 7th August 2024 and cited as “The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Coast Road (A1058), Wallsend) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) Order 2024” (“the Existing Order”).

The Existing Order is varied as follows:

• The following words are deleted from Paragraph 3: “Working hours will be from 19:00 – 06:00.”

The Existing Order shall otherwise remain in full force as amended by this Order.

Lane closures will also be in effect closest to the central reservation.  

The proposed temporary speed restriction is required to install a new central reservation barrier and to provide safe working areas. 

The Order will come into force on 22 November 2024 lasting until 25 February 2025.
