TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:

 

North Shields

on Billy Mill Lane from outside numbers 49-53. 

An alternate route is available via Billy Mill Lane, Burwood Road, Embleton Crescent, Moor Park Road, Embleton Road, St Anselm Road. 

The proposed temporary Order is required to install poly ducting in the carriageway and will come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period not exceeding 3 days.

on Prudhoe Street Lane from the junction with Spencer Street to the rear of number 2 Prudhoe Street.

There is no alternative route however access to be given to residents where possible.

The proposed temporary Order is required to install polyduct within the carriageway and will come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period not exceeding 12 days.

Wallsend

on Burn Avenue Lane from the rear of 19-25 Burn Avenue.

An alternate route is available via Harle Street, Victoria Avenue.

The proposed temporary Order is required to carry out sewer repairs and to reinstate and will come into force on 13 January 2025 for a period not exceeding 5 days.

Whitley Bay

on Warkworth Avenue from outside numbers 31-34. 

An alternate route is available via Park View Lane, Alnwick Avenue Lane, Norham Road. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for a service replacement and will come into force on 6th January 2025 for a period not exceeding 12 days.
