TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order prohibits all through traffic on

North Shields

Billy Mill Lane from outside numbers 49-53. 

An alternate route is available via Billy Mill Lane, Burwood Road, Embleton Crescent, Moor Park Road, Embleton Road, St Anselm Road. 

The temporary Order is required to install poly ducting in the carriageway and will come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period not exceeding 3 days.

Prudhoe Street Lane from the junction with Spencer Street to the rear of number 2 Prudhoe Street.

There is no alternative route however access to be given to residents where possible.

The temporary Order is required to install polyduct within the carriageway and will come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period not exceeding 12 days.

Wallsend

Burn Avenue Lane from the rear of 19-25 Burn Avenue.

An alternate route is available via Harle Street, Victoria Avenue.

The temporary Order is required to carry out sewer repairs and to reinstate and will come into force on 13 January 2025 for a period not exceeding 5 days.

Whitley Bay

Warkworth Avenue from outside numbers 31-34. 

An alternate route is available via Park View Lane, Alnwick Avenue Lane, Norham Road. 

The temporary Order is required for a service replacement and will come into force on 6th January 2025 for a period not exceeding 12 days.
