Resurfacing PHASE 2.1

Forest HALL, Howdon, LONGBENTON, Killingworth, MONKSEATON, North Shields, Wallsend, Weetslade and WIDEOPEN

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.  The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on various roads in North Tyneside to allow patching and resurfacing of the carriageway as follows -

 

Forest Hall

On Great Lime Road at the Junction of Killingworth Road.

 

Howdon

On Churchill Street at the junction of Stanley Street.

 

Longbenton

On Ashleigh Grove outside no. 29-30.

 

Killingworth

On the full length of Garth Sixteen. 

 

Monkseaton

On Drumoyne Gardens from outside Langley School to the junction of Athol Gardens.

 

North Shields

On Albion Road West outside the Pharmacy.

 

Wallsend

On High Street West outside the Forum Shopping centre.
On West Street on the junction of Rochdale Street.

 

Weetslade

On the full length of Rayleigh Drive.

 

 

Wideopen

On Worcester Way at the junction with Canterbury Way.

 

The Order will come into force on 20 January 2025 until 7 April 2025. Closures will take place at separate times during this period.

 

Specific dates of each closure will be displayed on site, via advanced warning signage before works commence.  Site signage with local diversions in place – resident access maintained.
