TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order prohibits all through traffic:
North Shields
on Preston Road from the junction with Cleveland Road to the junction with Albion Road, this will also include the Cleveland Road roundabout.
An alternate route is available via Preston Road, Queen Alexandra Road, Walton Terrace, Hawkeys Lane, Albion Road and in reverse order.
The temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing and comes into force on 17 February 2025 lasting until 31 March. Works will only take place as and when on site signage dictates.

on Trevor Terrace from the junction of Blanchland Terrace to the junction of Linskill Place.
An alternate route is available via Trevor Terrace, Preston Avenue, Washington Terrace, A193 and in reverse order.

comes into force on 17 February 2025 lasting until 31 March 2025. Works will only take place as and when on site signage dictates.

Wallsend
on Buddle Street from the junction with Station Road to approximately the junction with Carville Road.
An alternate route is available via Station Road, High Street West, Shields Road, Stotts Road, Fossway, Maurice Road, Neptune Road, Buddle Street.
The temporary Order is required for carriageway resurfacing and
comes into force on 17 February 2025 lasting until 26 February 2025.Works to be completed during twilight hours and once started should only take approximately 3 days.
