TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:

                       

Killingworth

on Station Roads Level Crossing. 

An alternate route is available via Killingworth Drive, Great Lime Road, Park Terrace, Southgate, Northumbrian Way, Station Road.

The proposed temporary Order is required to lift out the level crossing to allow PL Tamper to work through the area and will into force on 12 April 2025 for a period not exceeding 1 day.  Working from 23:00 - 08:30.

North Shields

on Lilburn Street Lane.

An alternate route is available via Lilburn Street, Chirton Avenue Lane. Access to be given where possible. 

The proposed temporary Order is required to carry out sewer repair works and will come into force on 28 April 2025 for a period not exceeding 6 days.

on Railway Terrace Lane from the junction with William Street to the rear of 21 Wiliam Street. 

An alternate route is available via Railway Terrace Lane, Rudyerd Street, William Street.

The proposed temporary Order is required to install poly duct within the carriageway and will come into force on 7 April 2025 for a period not exceeding 16 days.

Tynemouth

on Tynemouth Place. 

There is no alternative route however access to be maintained where possible.

The proposed temporary Order is required to install poly ducting within the carriageway and will come into force on 3 April 2025 for a period not exceeding 14 days.

Whitley Bay

on Cheviot View outside of number 12. 

An alternate route is available via Cheviot View, Edwards Road, Rockcliffe Street. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for overhead telecoms pole maintenance and will come into force on 7 May 2025 for a period not exceeding 2 days.
