TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on The Avenue from the junction with Curzon Road West to the junction with Brussels Road. 

An alternate route is available via The Avenue, Philiphaugh, Maurice Road, Stotts Road, Shields Road. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for drainage repairs and will come into force on 14 April 2025 for a period not exceeding 4 days.
