THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE

BUS LANES, OFF STREET PARKING PLACES, SPEED LIMITS, TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS, ON STREET PARKING PLACES & WAITING AND LOADING

CONSOLIDATION ORDERS 2025

The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside hereby gives notice that, under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 19, 29, 32, 35, 45, 46, 46a, 47, 49, 53, 63 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, on 24 March 2025 it made the following consolidation orders which will come into operation on 7 April 2025. The effect of these consolidation orders is to revoke the orders listed below, re-enact the provisions without any change of substance and, where necessary, to update references to the enabling regulations:

1.     The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Bus Lane) (Consolidation) Order 2025, which will revoke and re-enact The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Bus Lane) (Consolidation) Order 2022 and subsequent Variation Order 1 of 2022.

2.    The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Off Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2025, which will revoke and re-enact The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Off Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2022.

3.    The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Speed Limits) (Consolidation) Order 2025, which will revoke and re-enact The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Bus Lane) (Consolidation) Order 2011 and subsequent Variation Orders 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 of 2011, Variation Orders 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of 2012, Variation Orders 1, 2 and 3 of 2013, Variation Order 1 of 2014, Variation Order 1 of 2016, Variation Orders 1, 2, 3 and 4 of 2018, Variation Orders 1, 2, 3 and 4 of 2019, Variation Orders 1 and 2 of 2020, Variation Orders 1 and 2 of 2021, Variation Orders 1, 2, 3 and 4 of 2022, Variation Orders 1, 2, 3 and 15 of 2023 and Variation Order 1 of 2024.

4.    The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Traffic Movements) Consolidation Order 2025, which will revoke and re-enact The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Traffic Movements) Consolidation Order 2022 and subsequent Variation Orders 2, 3, 4 and 5 of 2022, Variation Orders 1, 12 and 14 of 2023, Variation Orders 1, 2 and 3 of 2024 and Variation Order 1 of 2025.

5.    The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2025, which will revoke and re-enact The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 and subsequent Variation Orders 1 and 2 of 2022, Variation Orders 1, 2, 9, 11 and 16 of 2023, Variation Orders 1, 2 and 3 of 2024 and Variation Order 1 of 2025.

6.    The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2025, which will revoke and re-enact The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2022 and subsequent Variation Order 4 of 2022, Variation Orders 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 13 of 2023, Variation Orders 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of 2024 and Variation Order 1 of 2025.
