BENTON, NORTH SHIELDS, SEATON BURN, WALLSEND & WHITLEY BAY, North Tyneside

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:

 

Benton

on St Margarets Avenue Lane. 

There is no alternative route however access to be given where possible. 

The proposed temporary Order is required to install a new electric duct and will come into force on 23 June 2025 for a period not exceeding 8 days.

North Shields

on Prudhoe Street Lane from the junction with Spencer Street to the rear of number 2 Prudhoe Street. 

There is no alternative route however access to be given to residents where possible. 

The proposed temporary Order is required to install polyduct within the carriageway and will come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period not exceeding 12 days.

Seaton Burn

on Chapel Place.

There is no alternative route but access to be given where possible. 

The proposed temporary Order is required to excavate and install a meter and will come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period not exceeding 7 days.

Wallsend

on Blenkinsop Street Lane.

There is no alternative route however access to be given where possible. 

The proposed temporary Order is required to excavate and carry out sewer repairs and will come into force on 2 June 2025 for a period not exceeding 5 days.

An alternate route is available via Kings Road North Lane, Coast Road, Prospect Avenue North.

The proposed temporary Order is required to excavate and renew a boundary box and will come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period not exceeding 5 days.

Whitley Bay

on Margaret Road Lane from the side to the rear of number 53-55 Margaret Road. 

An alternate route is available via Margaret Road, Grafton Road, Grafton Road Lane, Margaret Road Lane.

The proposed temporary Order is required for telecom pole repairs and

will come into force on 22 July 2025 for a period not exceeding 2 days.
