TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on:

Cullercoats

Victoria Crescent North from outside number 15 Victoria Crescent North to the junction with Norma Crescent. 

An alternate route is available via Victoria Crescent, John Street, Margaret Road, Naters Street, Promontory Terrace.

The proposed temporary Order is required for upgrades to road surface including resurfacing and will come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period not exceeding 8 days.

Killingworth

Station Road to Killingworth Drive.

An alternate route is available via Station Road, Northumbrian Way, Southgate, Great Lime Road, Park Terrace, Moorside, Killingworth Drive

The proposed temporary Order is required to carry out a level crossing test and will come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period not exceeding 1 day.  (23:55 - 05:30)

Silverlink Exchange

the westbound sliproad at the Silverlink Exchange. 

An alternate route is available via A1058 Roundabout, A19 Trunk Road, Norham Road North, Norham Road. 

The proposed temporary Order is required for highways maintenance and will come into force on 1 July 2025.  Works will only take place during twilight hours of 05:00am - 06:00am.

West Moor

the rear of 21- 45 Albert Terrace. 

An alternate route is available via adjacent footpaths. This will be indicated by the onsite signage. 

The proposed temporary Order is required to install poly ducting and will come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period not exceeding lasting until 11 July 2025.
