Variation Order 2025
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it proposes to make a variation order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, if made, will be to vary the following orders as detailed below:
A. the North Tyneside (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2025, so that:
1. no waiting at any time restrictions on the following roads be amended so that they apply to the following extents:
Argyle Street, Tynemouth on both sides from a point 3 metres west of its junction with the road to the rear of Percy Park Road to a point 3 metres east of that junction.
Hotspur Street, Tynemouth on its
West side, between a point 3 metres north of its junction with the road to the rear of Stanwick Street/Warkworth Terrace and a point 3 metres south of that junction;
West side, between a point 3 metres north of its junction with the road to the rear of Stanwick Street/Syon Street and a point 3 metres south of that junction;
West side, between a point 3 metres north of its junction with the road to the rear of Argyle Street /Syon Street and a point 3 metres south of that junction;
West side, between a point 3 metres north of its junction with the road to the rear of Argyle Street/Latimer Street and a point 3 metres south of that junction;
West side, between a point 3 metres north of its junction with the road to the rear of Latimer Street/Prudhoe Terrace and a point 3 metres south of that junction;
West side, between a point 5 metres north of its junction with Prudhoe Terrace and a point 3 metres south of the un-named road at the rear of Prudhoe Terrace (south);
West side, from a point 3 metres north of its junction with Warkworth Terrace to a point 5 metres south of that junction.
no waiting at any time restrictions on the following lengths of road be revoked:
Hotspur Street, Tynemouth on its West side, between a point 5 metres north of its junction with Latimer Street and a point 5 metres south of that junction.
the North Tyneside (On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2025 so that:
Permit Holder Parking Places - Marked Bays be amended so that they operate all days, all hours and form part of Zone TM1:

north side, from a point 3 metres east of its junction with Percy Park Road to a point 3 metres west of the un-named road at the rear of Percy Park Road.
north side, from a point 5 metres west of its junction with Hotspur Street to a point 3 metres east of the un-named road at the rear of Percy Park Road.
south side, from a point 3 metres east of its junction with Percy Park Road to a point 3 metres west of the un-named road at the rear of Percy Park Road.
south side, from a point 5 metres west of its junction with Hotspur Street to a point 3 metres east of the un-named road at the rear of Percy Park Road.
Hotspur Street, Tynemouth on its
east side, from a point 5 metres north of its junction with Lovaine Row to a point 5 metres south of its junction with Rear of Percy Gardens.
west side, from a point 5 metres north of its junction with Prudhoe Terrace to a point 3 metres south of its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Prudhoe Terrace (north).
west side, from a point 5 metres south of its junction with Latimer Street to a point 3 metres north of its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Prudhoe Terrace (north).
west side, from a point 5 metres north of its junction with Latimer Street to a point 3 metres south of the un-named road at the rear of Latimer Street (north).
west side, from a point 3 metres north of its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Latimer Street (north) to a point 5 metres south of its junction with Argyle Street.
west side, from a point 5 metres north of its junction with Argyle Street to a point 3 metres south of its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Syon Street (south).
west side, from a point 5 metres south of its junction with Syon Street to a point 3 metres north of its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Syon Street (south).
west side, from a point 5 metres north of its junction with Syon Street to a point 3 metres south of its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Syon Street (north)
west side from a point 5 metres south of its junction with Stanwick Street to a point 3 metres north of its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Syon Street (north).
west side, from a point 5 metres north of its junction with Stanwick Street to a point 3 metres south its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Stanwick Street (north).
west side, from a point 5 metres south of its junction with Warkworth Terrace to a point 3 metres north of the un-named road at the rear of Stanwick Street (north).
2. Permit Holder Parking Places - Zones be amended on the following lengths so that they operate on the following days and form part of Zones TM1 & TM2:
Percy Gardens Cottages, Tynemouth – in its entirety on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays during all Hours.
The Mews, Tynemouth – in its entirety on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays during all Hours.
Un-named road linking Argyle Street (north) and Hotspur Street, Tynemouth - in its entirety on all days and all Hours.
Un-named road linking Argyle Street (south) and Hotspur Street, Tynemouth - in its entirety on all days and all Hours.
3. Permit Holder Parking Places - Zones be introduced on the following length so that it operates on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays during all hours and forms part of Zones TM1 & TM2:
Back Percy Gardens, Tynemouth – from its junction with Percy Gardens to its junction with Percy Gardens Cottages.
4. Permit Holder Parking Places - Zones be revoked on the following lengths:
Un-named road to the rear of Hotspur Street (east) linking Lovaine Row to Percy Gardens (north), Tynemouth - in its entirety.
Un-named road to the rear of Nos 5 to 17 Lovaine Row, Tynemouth - in its entirety.
Un-named road to the rear of Percy Gardens (east) linking Lovaine Row and Percy Gardens (north), Tynemouth - in its entirety.
5. Streets for the purpose of the issue of Permits and Vouchers be amended as follows:
All Argyle Street, Hotspur Street Nos. 11 to 50 (consecutive), Nos. 63 to 78 (consecutive) to be removed from TM2 zone.
All Argyle Street, Hotspur Street Nos. 11 to 50 (consecutive), Nos. 63 to 78 (consecutive) to be added to TM1 zone.
