(Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2025

Variation Order 2025

 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it proposes to make a variation order under Sections 1, 2, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, if made, will be to vary the following order as detailed below:

 

the North Tyneside (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) (Consolidation) Order 2025, so that:

 

1. The following Waiting Restrictions at any time on any day be introduced on sections of the following roads:

Ashbourne Close, Backworth on both sides, from its junction with Church Road to a point 10 metres south of that junction.

 

Cauldwell Lane, Monkseaton on the south east side, from a point 12 metres south west of its junction with Crawford Place, to a point 12 metres north east of that junction.

 

Church Mews, Backworth on both sides, from its junction with Church Road to a point 6 metres north of that junction.

 

Church Road, Backworth

North side, from a point 10 metres west of its western junction with Melrose Avenue to a point 10 metres east of that junction;
North side, from a point 11 metres west of its junction with Church Mews to a point 26 metres east of that junction;
South side, from a point 3 metres west of its junction with Eccles Grange to a point 3 metres east of that junction;
South side, from a point 9 metres west of its junction with Ashbourne Close to a point 7 metres east of that junction;
South side, from a point 10 metres west of its junction with Shrewsbury Drive to a point 18 metres east of that junction.

 

Crawford Place, Monkseaton

Both sides, from its junction with Cauldwell Lane, to a point 8 metres south east of that junction;
Both sides, from a point 9 metres north west of its junction with Paignton Ave, to a point 6 metres south east of that junction;
North east side, from a point 5 metres north west of its junction with the un-named road to the rear of Cauldwell Lane/Paignton Avenue to a point 7 metres south east of that junction;
South west side, from a point 8 metres north west of its junction with the un-named road to the rear of Cauldwell Lane/Paignton Avenue to a point 6 metres south east of that junction.

 

Locomotion Way, Camperdown

East side, from a point 20 metres south of its northern junction with Mylord Crescent, to a point 85 metres south of that junction;
West side, from a point 18 metres south of its northern junction with Mylord Crescent, to a point 85 metres south of that junction.

 

Melrose Avenue, Backworth

East side, from its western junction with Church Road to a point 5 metres north of that junction;
West side, from its western junction with Church Road to a point 83 metres north of that junction.

 

Mylord Crescent, Camperdown on its south side, from its junction with Station Road to a point 180 metres west of that junction.

 

Paignton Ave, Monkseaton on both sides, from a point 9 metres south west of its junction with Crawford Place, to a point 9 metres north east of that junction.

 

Shrewsbury Drive, Backworth on both sides, from its junction with Church Road to a point 10 metres south of that junction.

 

Un-named road to the rear of Cromwell Terrace (north), North Shields on both sides, from its junction with Cleveland Avenue to a point 34 metres east of that junction.

 

Un-named road to the rear of Cauldwell Lane/Paignton Avenue, Monkseaton on both sides, from a point 8 metres south west of its junction with Crawford Place, to a point 6 metres north east of that junction.

 

Whitley Road, Whitley Bay on its north east side, from a point 6 metres north west of its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Esplanade/Percy Road to a point 7 metres south east of its junction with the rear lane adjacent to No. 154 Whitley Road.

 

no waiting at any time restrictions on the following lengths of road be revoked:

 

Whitley Road, Whitley Bay

North side, between a point 5 metres east of its junction of rear lane of Percy Road / Esplanade and a point 5 metres west of its junction of rear lane of Percy Road / Esplanade;
North side, between a point 5 metres east of rear lane adjacent to No. 154 Whitley Road and a point 5 metres east of its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Percy Road / Esplanade;
North side, between its junction with the un-named road at the rear of Percy Road / Victoria Avenue and a point 6 metres west of that junction.
