We would like to encourage residents to take extra care when filing disrepair claims and using firms who claim that they are 'no win, no fee'. 

These agreements are often buried in lengthy legal contracts that can end up resulting in charges worth thousands of pounds if they leave the agreement. Even when successful, the payment to the tenant can be quite small compared to the cost of solicitors.
