Welcome to North Tyneside Council’s Apprenticeship Academy
Apprenticeships help us find new talent, develop skills in our teams and increase diversity in the workplace. Employing apprentices helps the council shape its workforce to develop future skills that we will need to deliver our ambitious plans for the future.
We aim to create an environment in which our apprentices can flourish; through learning, supporting and challenging each other and developing the flexibility and skills required to meet current and future job roles.
We offer pathways into a variety of careers from horticulture to business admin, catering to legal services, and sport and leisure to housing with more pathways being developed all the time. Our Apprenticeship Academy offers a variety of qualification levels, starting from level two and progressing up to level six, depending upon the needs of the council.
Apprenticeship vacancies are listed at www.northeastjobs.org.uk. They are usually posted in May/June, as we aim to start our apprenticeship programmes in September.
So if you are motivated and excited about a career with us then start your journey with North Tyneside Council.
