Mental health concerns

Housing Advice Team

North Tyneside Council’s Housing Advice Team provides a free, confidential service to anyone who may be experiencing housing issues and is in need of housing advice.

Supported housing and housing support

If you think you may need some to help you develop skills to enable you to move into your own home, then specialist supported housing may be available to you. Some housing may be available through our Support Gateway or from specialist providers.

If you have your own home but feel that you need some support to help you keep it, then outreach support may be an option.

A referral will need to be made by a professional organisation or support worker that is working with you. If you are not working with anyone then contact the Housing Advice Team for some guidance.
