  • Our family hubs are open to provide support and free activities to all families and young people. They provide a range of services and support, aimed at giving your family the chance to have fun together and develop skills for school, work and life.   • SafetyWorks are the prevention and education team within The Fire Service and they are offering interactive safety sessions for groups of young people. If you would be interested in getting involved as part of an EHE group, please see the attached leaflet and contact SafetyWorks directly. 
  • Home Educator Sessions at Segedunum Roman Fort

    At Segedunum Roman Fort, we are currently advertising a number of home educator sessions aimed at Key Stage 2 aged children (7-11 years old). You can find more details about the workshops we currently have on our offer in the attached document.  Please get in touch with us by emailing segedunumlearningbookings@northeastmuseums.org.uk if you are interested in enquiring about booking a session or if you want to be added to our mailing list to be kept up to date about sessions. We are also looking to develop our sessions for Key Stage 3 aged children (11+) so please get in touch also if you have ideas for any sessions you’d like to see in the future.

  • All home educated children are able to receive their immunisations, which would ordinarily be given in school, via a dedicated outreach clinic. Please find below, a link to the immunisations team covering North Tyneside. This provides you with further information regarding the childhood immunisation programme and includes their contact details, should you have any specific questions.

The next immunisation programme for home educated school aged children (Reception to year 11) is the flu campaign. The programme commences in September 2024. (Subject to change).

If you would like your child immunised, please see the attached letter which includes online consent information. 

  • North Tyneside Council are offering free cycle sessions for all Home Educated children. Please see the flyer below for further information and to book your child's place.
